Today I was served the worst customer service EVER! In March we purchased new furniture from #steinhafelsfurniture and when we purchased the furniture the salesman asked if we wanted to purchase the protection plan that would cover repairs including damage from a pet. Of course we bought it, we have a dog and a toddler! Fast Forward to June and the one day I forgot to put something on the chair and my dog who I love and adore dug a bed in the seat which created a run in the fabric. I filed a claim and had not heard a word until I followed up on the claim today. Well, our wonderful(I’ll use this term loosely) salesman entered in the protection plan incorrectly, the plan he entered does not include the pet protection as we were sold. I called Steinhafels to find out what happened. The first call, the customer service person hung up, second call sent to a black hole of hold music and the third I talked to someone who actually did their job. They stated they will refund my protection plan purchase and that is all. When I asked why they weren’t going to fix the chair and correct their mistake I was told that they would refund my money for the plan. So they screwed up and somehow I’m the one that suffers. Whatever happened to fixing mistakes? Whatever happened to being accountable. #steinhafelsfurniture is definitely not a place you want to shop. I’d like to add that I waited NINE years for new furniture and that just makes me more angry!
