Original review posted by user Sep 26, 2020 I purchased a Conair model 169 series hairdryer from Shoppers Drug mart on Sept. 20, 2020. That evening, we found out that it is unbearably loud when we use it. The next day, I attempted to return it to the retailer with receipt and original packaging, who wouldn't take it back. I immediately called and email Conair Canada, who wouldn't help us because they are strictly a warranty and repair centre. All I want is to be able to buy a simple household appliance from a brand I used to trust, without worrying that I had done adequate research, for example on the decibel level. I hope that Conair will take this hairdryer back so we can choose a product that doesn't cause hearing loss. User's recommendation: Research the volume level of a product that could be held near your ears.
