rerouting their calls to incompetent people in another country
2
Got their catalog in the mail, and wanted to order a few things I saw. Called the toll-free number in the catalog and got an Indian guy in a call center. Said i got the catalog and wanted to order a few things. The first thing he asked for was credit card info. Specifically the name of the card holder. I said my husband's name. I'm a woman, so he asked if i had permission to use the card. I said yes. He asked if my husband was avalible right now and I said he's at work. (It was around 3:00 on a Wednesday after all...) He then asked for the billing address. I told him the address, and that I wanted it to be the shipping address too. He awkwardly asked me to verify the billing address again... I said "Yes, it's all the same address. Billing and shipping." Then he hung up one me!!! I didn't even tell him the card number or the items i wanted! I then called the customer service line listed in the catalog. I got another person from India! I told him I was in the middle of ordering something and was hung up on, so I ordered the item on Amazon. (which is hilarious, but true.) He said shadily "Well, my system just crashed right now, maybe-" And before he could continue I hung up. Totally unprofessional.
