Refund request on poor product not replied for two months

1

A tin of chopped tomatoes has larva. I requested refund via the company's online form on 8 October 2020 and received a confirmation from the company on 9 October 2020 saying 'Our team will be in touch shortly'. I have not heard a word from the company since then. The confirmation 'Requsting a Refund - [protected]' was sent from Asda Customer Service. I replied to the email earlier today only to find that 'This mailbox is no longer in use.' Why did the company direct a customer online to an email address that is no longer in use? So, two issues are (1) product quality is below expectation; (2) customer service online guidelines lead customers to nowhere.
