Several months ago, I had a hearing test and purchased hearing aids from Absolute Quality Hearing in Watauga, Tx. They were vague about whether or not they were a Blue Cross provider. They told me I would get 2500.00 back when I filed my insurance. Turns out they were NOT an authorized provider, and my insurance company only paid 1000.00 because they said I “chose to use a provider outside network”. The hearing aids did not function properly, and they finally had to replace a transmitter in one of them. This took several weeks. In the meantime, the right one would not stay in my ear, so they made an ear piece which they attached to the hearing aid that had the transmitter replaced. It should have been for the other ear. This took several more weeks. Finally, they agreed to order me another pair of hearing aids, which took several more weeks. It has now been close to 3 months, and I haven’t had two hearing aids at the same time. The new ones were awful, and I started requesting a refund. I contacted the bank that financed them, and they filed a complaint with the company. After close to 5 months, they agreed to refund my money, but they withheld 20% for “Professional Fees”, even though their website said 100% money back guarantee. Please do not do business with this company. If you want hearing aids, get them from somebody reputable.
