The owner (Scot Stone), manager (Nora Rye) and Maintenance man (Don Rye) at Piedra Leasing located in Austin, TX have properties located on Private Road 4805 located just inside the city limits of Kempner, TX in Lanmpasas County. I would like to tell everyone looking to rent a place do NOT do business with these people!!! The owner really either has no idea what is going on down there or just really doesn't care! His manager (Nora Rye) and his Maintenance man (Don Rye) are his drinking and partying buddies so any of the tenants who try to contact him with problems with them he will not return you phone call. There is a 15 year old out there who likes to bully younger kids and pull knives out on them and threaten to kill the younger kid and when the manager is told about the situation, all she can say is "it's none of my business, it's between tenants I do not want to get involved" the Maintenance man has a habit of going into the storage units and sells the tenants property without permission then when he is confronted about it, he yells and curses at them and tells them to get it out when he is the one who helped move the property in there in the first place. They also have other tenants out there who find it funny to get 3 of his other friends to go and beat the *** out of a 52 year old heart patient and yell that they are going to kill him. Again when the manager was told she "didn't want to get involved" because she was watching the aggressors 3 children. And yet again when the owner (Scot Stone) was called, he never returned any of the phone calls. The manager and maintenance man also take the rent money and spend it on their personal choices such as getting her nails done, going out to eat, sending their out of state children money to visit and paying their out of state children's rent on their houses and fixing their own house instead of putting it back into the other rentals that are out there. There is one tenant who has 2 small children with allergies and is expecting another child and they have black mold all over the walls and the manager and maintenance man refuse to fix the problems. The man who is 52 years old and a heart patient, his ac unit went out and the manager would not even put window units in until it could be fixed, he spent a whole 3 week in there with no air when the temps outside reached 100 instead the manager and maintenance man decided they had to go out of state when they knew about the issue way before they left. The manager and maintenance man also go around telling all of the other tenants who has paid rent and how much they paid and who hasn't paid rent and how far behind they are. One of the tenants who has already moved has been asking about her deposit refund of $400.00 for the past 3 months and the manager lies to her telling her they got trapped in a hotel room in Arkansas a few weeks ago from a tornado that went through and that it was so bad that her husband (Don Rye-the Maintenance man) had to be rushed to the hospital in Arkansas. Come to find out there was no tornado while they were there and Don never had to go to the hospital. Another of the tenants had recently asked about moving to another place that was vacant out there and the manager told him he couldn't afford it even though the vacant place would only run $675.00 and right now he has been paying $800.00 on his place even though his rent is only supposed to be $575.00 so I would greatly encourage anyone looking for a place to rent around the Copperas Cove, TX and Kempner, TX area.....DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! They are a bunch of drunks, lyers, embezzlementors and just crooked people all together whom most of them and their tenants have criminal records!!! Thank you
