No parts for 18month old microwave

2

Firstly, the plastic door button on our microwave broke which in itself shouldnt have happened after 18 months of normal use. An online search for parts indicated that my fairly new microwave was no longer in production despite still being featured on the Kitchenaid Canada website. After phoning customer service they confirmed that they cant even locate a parts list for the microwave and werent willing to find a similar door button from my specs. So instead of a $5 button they told us we would have to buy a whole new microwave - this of course wont be Kitchenaid! User's recommendation: Find another company that backs their products.
