Never recieved a return.

This is just to warn others out there: if you are going to buy a Google device such as a Chromecast, think twice before using Google Store. I ordered the wrong Chromecast (HD and not UHD) on March 7th of this year, and tried returning it. After having my original return request randomly cancelled - I had multiple 30min+ phone calls with them trying to initiate another return, with them saying there was a problem in the system etc. After March 14th, they literally had to check with their "support specialists" for weeks before finally sending me return labels to send the Chromecast back on March 30th. After receiving the return labels, I thought "great, finally I'll be able to return it". Wrong. A few weeks after shipping out the Chromecast, I request why I haven't received a refund yet. They haven't received the device they claim. Oh great, so I pull up the tracking number (thank-goodness I saved it), and send them a copy, it clearly stating the package was received and accepted. They can't find it in their warehouse they claim, here's what they now said: "Thanks for contacting Google! As stated previously, the package you have sent us does not contain the device. As Im sure youll understand, we need to receive the defective device before we are able to process the refund. Once we receive the correct device according to your RMA, we will then be able to process the refund Please visit our Google Help Center for more information about the Google Terms of Service." At this point I was absolutely livid, and sent an angry email back stating that there is no possible way the package did not contain the device, and that either someone in their warehouse stole it, or they lost it. That was May 6th, and today 1.5 months later, they are still "checking this with their Support experts". All I get is the same automated message every week. All of this for a Chromecast? Does their service team even care how many hours they burn up trying to solve their service cases with customers? I have spent hours on the phone with them, plus over 35 Emails have been exchanged. I had to return a cable from Apple that I didn't need that cost almost the same as a Chromecast, and they literally just told me to keep it, while refunding the money. In contrast, returning this Chromecast has been the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced and I would have never expected it from a huge multi billion dollar company like Google. Avoid Google Store like the plague, it will save you from headaches if anything should go wrong.
