My card was charged incorrectly

They charged me $100 dollars for a $20.50 gas purchase. Then the customer car representative said that there card readers don't know how much I'm going to buy. And that it's happened before. I told her no it's not happened before because I keep a eye on my account. I mean who doesn't .I will not be buying any gas or anything from that place
