Consumer's Original Complaint : I agreed to a price of 134.75 for 6 mo. At the end of the 6 mo. The price went up to 161.70 and I did not know I had signed a 3 year contract. On 4/29/2015 Keith Arnet of Ackerman came to my home and gave me a price of 134.75 for monerting my security system for each 6 months period. At this time I knew nothing about Ackerman, but I wrote a check for the 134.75. At this time I told him that if the service went up in price I would cancel. HE SAID NOTHING WAS SAID ABOUT A 3 YEAR CONTRACT. Then when I received the bill for my next 6 mo. it had gone up to 161.70. I called Ackerman and spoke with Stephanie Johnson to cancel. She informed me that I had a 3 year contract and e-mailed me a copy which it looks like I did sign it, but I don't remember it and it was never mentioned to my knowledge.I DID NOT AGREE TO THE PRICES GOING UP AND TOLD HIM ABOUT THIS. I would like to cancel my services with Ackeman. Or if I can't keep the prices to the amount that i agreed to until I can get away from ACKERMAN FOR GOOD. THANK YOU GLENN REED SR.
