Sent check, letter explaining circumstance, proof of loss, and contractor bids. They waited a week to call & tell me they wont process without copies of contractor lisences. I told them they had the bids on contractor letterhead, call the contractors. Response was,” thats not how we do it here”. Fema- no help Fannie Mae- no help Consumer Finance- no help Apparently, mortgage companies can sit on your check and make you jump thru hoops as much as they like with no regulation or oversight. Its my fervent hope that customer service reps house floods or burns and they get the same customer service experience theyre giving me.
