I write to ask for your guidance in two matters. Firstly I attended an eye test earlier today, Friday, and received the expected excellent service from your consultant team. On completion of my examination I was given a short presentation on glasses for my use. I needed three sets based on the advice given, one for long distance, one for reading and one for close to eye vision as I do model making. I decided on buying all three sets from your £40 range as at age 77 there seemed no purpose in trying to make a "fashion" statement. I was told by your consultant that I would need to pay full price for one set at the £40 price but could get the other two sets at £20, a fifty percent discount. I had read your pricing statement that tells me that as an over 60 years of age client I should have qualified for a discount on all three sets of glasses. I queried the need to spend £80 rather than the £70 that I thought applied and was given a very negative response. So my first query is whether your internet site is offering correct information or is your in store consultant incorrectly trained. Secondly I was told that my wife, age 76 only qualified for a free NHS eye test every two years which is in contradiction to information given on your website.
