Beyond Buzz VP of Marketing, Mark Campell claims that the company tests out each crowd funding campaign idea before they take on a client. If the idea/campaign tests well on Facebook, a few days later they send a test report. I received a very positive report that "projected" a minimum funding goal of $200.000.00. The report specifically lists test results and funding sources. My test report listed Facebook ads to be 30% of the funding, PR Promotions to be 25%, social media 10%, and friends and family 4%. They then said they would set up the Indeigogo campaign and would "After we get the project page setup properly, our team will send over the marketing content for approval such as the written PR pitches and an Ad preview for Facebook promotions." Well, unfortunately, they didnt do anything of the sort. They were taking so long to set the Indiegogo page, that I went ahead and set it up myself. They "launched" the campaign and left me in the dark for weeks with no progress, no reports and a campaign that was dead in the water. They made promise after promise and fell short on every one of them. After multiple requests for any documentation of their efforts, the only evidence they provided was a poorly written press release that was picked up by a few obscure travel blogs. No Facebook ads, no social media, and one promotion/press release for $5000. A total ripoff!!! I could go on and on, but will save the details for the attorneys. Everything is well documented in emails because they would never return my calls. Avoid this scam!!
