I have the great Humana Gold Plus HMO plan for my Medicare plan, wonderful! So needing to see a Urologist, NOW, that Ive seen for several years with an ongoing issue. The Urologist Clinic needs a referral from primary care physician. My PCP said call the Urologist and let them request the referral. WRONG! My PCP will not send without a request and my Urologist will not request but demands my PCP sends referral first. All this while I'm in pain, infection and passing blood. What an awesome PLAN! I'm their football that they are not passing back and forth but kicking. No grace; the HCS rep really tried to help but the doctors just hurt me. User's recommendation: I say skip Humana HMO Gold if you live in Florida!
