Booked a hotel reservation through Expedia. They booked the wrong date, 5/18/21 instead of 5/8/21. Expedia charged me $14.99 to set up the reservation and an additional $14.99 to cancel it. I also prepaid the room charge, $125.65 when I initially booked the reservation. The reservation was cancelled because Expedia booked the wrong date and even though they booked the wrong date(their error), they charged me to cancel the reservation. I am unable to get Expedia to refund not only the charges to set up and cancel the reservation, but they have not refunded the prepaid room charge either. Incidentally, the amount I was told would be refunded ($116.79)is different than what I paid($125.65). I chatted via their chat room on their website and was told that the refund had been put in a queue on May 4, 2021 to be paid which is the date I booked and cancelled the reservation. To this date, May 19, 2021, I have not seen a refund on my credit card. The refund receipt number I was given is: [protected]. This information was given to me via email.
