Had to waste time on an extra trip to their branch

Two days ago they called me and asked to fax a receipt. I came to the branch to do that, but they told me that there was no need for that. They assured me that the corresponding department will see it automatically. I insisted, but they again refused, so I left. And, obviously, the next day they called me once again, apologized and asked to bring the receipt to the bank. I understand that it was a human error. But still if they had rechecked everything from the very beginning it would have saved me a trip. I see that they do not want to do extra work, but that’s what they are paid money for! I used to recommend them to my friends and colleagues. Their service was always perfect. Hope this latest episode was a rare exception and they will not make any other mistakes of such a kind.
