Going down hill!!!

2

I have visited several stores in Central Texas recently gathering items for a new home as well as centerpieces for my daughters upcoming wedding. It seems that lately (actually over the course of the last few years) selection has taken a nosedive! Where is the COLOR!? Everything is blah. All white and grey. Looking for home accents with a POP of color, but no luck here. Prices are also going up, but there is nothing to warrant a price increase. Every store I have visited is extremely short staffed. Usually, there is only ONE cashier working leaving no one to assist locating product on the floor. I could go on with the things that need attention, but this takes the cake: Recently went to one location to pick up an order. They had me pull around to the back door. No problem. I was informed that it was truck day, and please forgive the mess. Again, no problem. But, as I entered the back door to help bring out my order, I couldn't help but notice how HOT it was in the back. I saw 3 separate employees red-faced, exhausted, and dripping with sweat. I mentioned to the young lady that was helping me, and she said their back room a/c was not working!! And that corporate KNEW about it!!! Said it was not going to be fixed because the one on the sales floor was working. Listen, it is TEXAS. That day we had a heat index of over 116 degrees. Working in that kind of environment can be dangerous. Working in an emergency room I have already seen numerous cases of heat exhaustion and hyperthermia. This needs to be addressed immediately! What would OSHA think?
