I dont usually file complaints or reviews. I am a full time RVr. I have stayed at many campgrounds during my travels. Most have had a few irritating things or complaints they many people may complain about and say, I wish I would have known before stopping here. I stopped at the Hitching Post RV park, in Las Vegas, and paid for a full month. I wanted to stay somewhere warmer and no bad weather before traveling across country. I stayed the month of February. I wish I would have known how this park really was before paying. I am writing this post on February 19th. My complaints are as follows: Nellis AFB is right across the street from the base. The jets fly most of the day and sometimes at night. When they fly over the park from the base they are less than 1000 ft. Each jet is so loud you cant even hear someone 3 ft away and it rattles the RV. The pool is hardly ever open and they say it is a heated pool. The gym is never open. They say in their brochure that they have wi-fi that really works... hum... it is rarely working. The park I probably 80% full time residents. The RVs are not kept up and many look like transients live there with garbage all around their RV. This is actually disgusting because I walk my dog 4 - 5 times a day and it discusses me that the park allows this since in their brochure it has very specific rules stating no outside garbage or storing of boxes and things. Because most people live here full-time I guess they dont want to kick them out because it is guaranteed income. In the brochure in bold text it says, absolutely no refunds, I wonder why? I walked around the park and took pictures of the worse sites. I am going to try and upload them below. My advice to you is, DONT STAY HERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!! I can not find any information on where to send this directly to notify good Sam about this. I have already posted my review on the Hitching Post website. If anyone knows how to get this directly to Good Sam corporation, please let me know. User's recommendation: Don’t stay here you will be sorry!!!!
