Fed wrong information to get a sale

Went in to get a good sleeping mattress and sales pitch started off with trying out the tempur pedic hybrid beds first with the adjustable bed. They felt great. It was explained that if you have sleep apnea, back problems snoring etc that the matress with adjustable bed would be your best option. Neither one of the mattress we tried out was available at that time so we tried the purple matress, it felt great. My husband stated he wanted a bed that's high, because he is 6'4 and was told yes it can be raised up like a regular bed. He suggested that we try it out and don't pay full price at checkout and if we were not satisfied we had 120 days to send it back. So instead of getting the free adjustable bed we got the ease adjustable bed which elevates head and legs instead of just head which is free one. We waited until it was delivered the next week and they set up bed and left. We tried out remote and the head button, nothing the feet up button, nothing the zerog button, the head came up a little and feet came up all the way. I called in and was told they would send someone out to check it. And the height of bed was really low, iasked about raising it and was told its not recommended by mattress firm or Serta to raise it any higher. My husband was not happy. He immediately went and bought a king size bed so we could put our purple mattress on. He called them back and said we don't want the bed but we do want to keep mattress. At that point he was told that bed is nonrefundable. Out of the entire 2 hours we spent in store, NEVER was it told to us that mattress is refundable but make certain that adjustable bed is what you really want because it's nonrefundable. Salesman stated he had to talk to DM to see what they could do for us and we waited another week without a phone call back or anything but a phone call stating we had a appointment set for next day for mattress firm to come out. My husband called back and asked what was being done, and manager stated they were coming out to adjust the bed. We both were working that next day and they never called us back but they were going to send someone to do what they say is not recommended. When he told manager we didn't want bed, she just simply said it's no refund on adjustable bed. When he said were not told that, she said I will talk to that associate but it's on your receipt. So we are stuck with a brand new king size adjustable bed that doesn't work properly and mattress firm didn't tell us at any time, no refund. But after we paid for it they say it's on your receipt. We are very disappointed and disgusted about this matter and out of over a grand. User's recommendation: Be extremely certain about what u r getting.
