Fake ad, used JC Penney photo, claimed products from JC Penney.

Truexskin ran an ad for free cosmetics from JC Penney, $100 worth for the price of shipping. I received an unknown brand face cream and was charged $4.94 on my debit card. So I was burned for $4.94 I thought. Two weeks later I was charged $102 plus change. As I was talking to my bank about a dispute that amount changed to $89.18. I found a phone number for them. The rep I spoke with (said his name was Prince) said if I had not returned the cream within the trial period, I owed them the whole charge. The ad I saw said nothing about a trial period. It was clearly FREE, pay ONLY shipping. I told him it was for JC Penney products which he never denied, but was some off brand, which he did not deny. I said I would write to the BBB, he said snarkily that after they read their terms and conditions I would lose. The ad I used had no terms and conditions. Clearly these people used a fraudulent ad from JC Penney to lead on the customer. The link to pay had no such terms and conditions, After some heated discussion, he offered to return 50% of my money (he offered 30% first). He said it was 50% of nothing. I finally said "I will take 50% for now." I haven't seen it in my bank account yet. This is a total SCAM. The tiny jar of face cream is barely worth the cost of shipping, has no information on the jar. I will continue to go after these people. Do not respond to their ads!
