Failed heart rate monitor after update

Hello, After the latest update on my Versa 2, my heart rate monitor stopped working after it had been working perfectly fine. Did a hard reset and when that didnt work contacted customer support. They suggesteda hard reset. So I humoured them and did it again and when I didnt work, they said its not warranty and there is nothing they can do. So my product is working perfectly fine, they do an update, not its not working and somehow I am on the hook for it?? Dont buy a Fitbit! User's recommendation: Don’t buy a Fitbit.
