I had them install a new HVA system. I had some damp carpet on occassion- more obvious after a year when rain picked up but I thought it was leaking from the overflow. Eventually, after 2 calls about the leakage a water leak expert had no trouble finding the cause - no waterproofing of the chase pipe after installation. Consequently as the dirt used to fill it was worn away through rain water, water began coming into the house up through the chase pipe. I have photos to show there was no waterproofing and the tech that came out to waterproof it (and Economy charged me for THAT!) observed that it had only been filled with dirt, they refused to take any responsibility for the consequent damage, which my insurance will not cover as they don't cover bad workmanship. This is not the kind of ethics I expect from honorable businesses. I know from what a tech told me about another customer experiencing unexplainable water leak, I am not the only one that got an unwaterproofed install. I hope they see this.
