Driver was a no-show
1
Today is Wednesday, April 10th. I had an appointment with the VA Medical Clinic scheduled at 10 AM. I thought I'd be early, in case I had any paperwork to complete. Two days ago, I called and arranged a Yellowcab taxi to be at my address at 9 AM today. The lady I spoke with accepted my verbal contract and said there would be a cab at my door at 9 AM today. Last night at 11:55 PM a taxi driver from Yellowcab called me and asked ME to call HIM this morning so he could come pick me up at 9 AM. I told him I expected him to be at my door at 9:00 AM for pick up. He said he would be here. I called his number TWICE this morning! No answer! At 9:05 AM this morning, there was no cab, so I called Yellowcab of Memphis. I live in Millington, a suburb of Memphis. They actually had the GALL to tell me they were still looking for a driver in my area. This after the guy had already CALLED me at 11:55 PM last night. Like they had not assigned my cab already. It sure sounded like a pre-written excuse to me. At 9:17 AM, I called Yellowcab again and they gave me the same excuse. I called again at about 9:30 AM and told them to cancel my request. There was no way I was going to make my appointment at 10 AM now. This is NOT the first time we've had this problem with Yellowcab. Frankly, they accepted my verbal contract two days ago and broke that contract inside 48 hours. I really should sue. I will NEVER use Yellowcab again and I WILL forever talk bad about their failures to anyone that will listen.
