Aspen American Insurance Company (AAIC), a subsidiary of Aspen Group, is a medical malpractice insurance provider . Aspen Insurance advertises itself as a leading global specialty insurance and each of its business lines is run by a group of highly respected and experienced industry experts who possess in-depth knowledge of the industries it serves. The first statement is correct: the company insures almost all – from dentistry to cyber security. The second statement is absolutely false. The company has no such experts and only greed and dishonesty characterizes its activity. A normal practice of insurances dealing with specific areas (e.g., car , home insurance) that have experts is to evaluate damages. Of course, a person can disagree with an estimate and then claim more in a court. But this is a logical procedure. The AAIC doesn’t follow such a procedure. Moreover, it ignores any letter with concrete questions (it is unable to respond since it has no experts in the field to do that). A dentist broke my bridge. To deny my claim the AAIC invented a fraudulent strategy. I was asked “the complete dental history.” I am sure that senior persons have no even their complete medical (not dental) history since during their life they changed the prime doctors and old medical records are not always sent to new prime doctors. As to dentists, persons change them often and none dentist even asks about previous visits and reasons. This is a simple medical profession. Dentists asked what a patient needs and offer a treatment plan. Nothing more. What Aspen demands is illegal. Such strategy force persons to file claims with a court. But then lawyers take a significant part of damages and usually the remaining amount of money is not sufficient to restore a damaged part. Senior persons suffer most. Moreover, this is one of the reason why our medical prices are the highest in the world. Insurances should be prohibited. to deal with the areas where they have no experts.
