Dexcom Disappointment
1
Ive been using the Dexcom G6 for a little over a year now. It has been disappointing and constantly frustrating. It cannot be trusted. The readings are frequently off by 50 mg/dL or more when compared to a finger stick or lab results. It keeps you awake all night with false alarms. Theyve been disabled to maintain my sanity. My last A1C was 7.4 but my Dexcom was predicting a 90 day A1C of 6.8. The Dexcom showed my fasting glucose at blood draw as 94 mg/dL but the lab showed 154. At least 50% of the sensors have been defective right out of the box. Several of those were bad because the applicator did not release from the sensor and the assembly had to be peeled off and was unusable. Byram Healthcare provides my supplies. They sent my last 90 day supply with no transmitter which means the 9 sensors are useless. You will never speak to a human being at Byram. The automated attendant will prevent you from accomplishing anything. When there is a problem or an issue there is no chance that it will be resolved. Some sensors provide wildly cycling readings. Some trail off to an impossibly low reading after which the readings stop. They may or may not come back on and start providing readings again. This product is half baked. The approval of this medical device had to have involved a bribe or kickback. User's recommendation: Buyer Beware.
