Decent product, DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING!
1
I got a phone call and text from my bank about a possible fraud on my credit card. Sure enough, it was the Glamor Gold. I had ordered the “trial” in April for the face cream and eye serum. I couldn’t find any terms on the site so I sent them a message to the email address they had listed asking for the detailed terms. They replied that I would have to call a number that they did provide in their response. I spoke to a man that I could barely understand and made it clear that I did not want a continuing subscription, to which he said he would take care of (after trying to offer me a 40% and then a 60% discount). Well, I guess he didn’t, because my bank told me that they tried to charge me today (6/9/18) $94.88. My bank also told me that they had charged me $89.44 on 5/10/18, which was apparently for the “trial” that I was only supposed to be paying about $39 for. My bank gave me the phone number to call them, which I did, and after going back and forth with Karica, agent #77, who claimed there was no record of my 1st call, I was able to cancel and have the $94.88 charge voided as they had not sent a new set out yet. I just let the 1st charge of $89.44 go (even though I shouldn’t have as I was under the impression that it was only about $39, period) as I did keep the products and do like the eye serum (that will last me almost a year, but I can get others that do the same without the hassle). The face cream is too thick and greasy for my oily skin so I will just gift that away to someone who can use it. I don’t think the products are bad, but the deceptive marketing is disgusting. Nowhere on any of their sites that I have seen does it clearly state that you will be charged the full price after 15 days and that you will be charged every month for a subscription unless you cancel. And from reading these reviews, I have to wonder if the celebrities (Rachel Ray was listed in a few reviews/complaints) they use in their ads are really involved with this product, as the one that I ordered through claimed that this product was developed by Meghan Markle! Shame on them for pulling an unnecessary marketing scam on a decent product and shame on me for not paying more attention to my cc statement after I was told by the 1st foreign rep that everything was taken care of!!!
