Damage to my sprinklers

1

We had a partial outage 3 weeks ago Duke came and repaired the outage leaving equipment in front of the house for 3 weeks they have been coming and going digging and still leaving equipment in front of the house. While digging they damaged my sprinklers. Because of the rains I had not noticed the sprinkler leaking until my neighbor, notified me. I called Duke Energy thinking they would send someone to make the repairs because there's water leak and their advice was for me to fill out a Complaint Form online. But the responsibility of taking care of the damaged sprinklers was mine... I find that unacceptable. My sprinklers were in perfect order until they dug and broke them. Now, I have to jump through hoops to pay and repair something that was in working order as my nei6can latest to. He was the one who brought the leak to my attention. I would think if Duke damaged private property they should be more than willing to make the repairs and not put that burden on the homeowner... It's not professional nor is it fair.
