Could not reach customer service rep on phone due to very very long wait

Opened an investment account. Later found out that I could not fund it because of customer verification - they are asking for a photograph, passport copy, license copy and a copy of your social security card. God know how they will manage to keep this safe and secure. I finally relented and sent the information. Now, my account is still inactive and in "verification phase" for the past two weeks. I have made several attempts to contact them over the phone (and email). The hold is excruciating 30+ minutes EVERY attempt and I hung up frustrated. If you call yourselves an online only bank, at least keep enough knowledgable customer support folks on the phone. On occasion that I did get through luckily, the guy said that my account will be active within a could of hours. That was last week and I am still waiting!!! User's recommendation: Do not open an account with Ally! You will regret later!!
