CAR TEKS – Remote Start Installation Review from North Liberty, Indiana

. I went to their Valparaiso Indiana location on February 21st 2015 to have a remote start installed. Called and made an appointment and when I arrived it took 10 minutes for me to even be waited on. After around 5 hours of waiting they installed the Prestige APS57E. I was stoked to have it, especially with all this cold weather. So I pay the $280 and drive away. Get home, 40 miles away, take my daughter to get a movie from red box and when I remote start it, none of my gauges work. No speedometer, tachometer, gas gauge, nothing. Drove it to the store, started it back up and everything worked. Had the same problem a few days later, took the car back to them to look at it and they said I have to make an appointment. So I made the appointment for Saturday March 7th. Get there at my 1 o'clock appointment to be told they don't make appointments on Saturdays. That I would have to leave the car until 6 after they made an appointment over the phone. Showed back up at 5pm to be told they can't find the problem and there's nothing that can be done since it doesn't do it all the time. I asked for a refund and the remote start removed and they can't refund it because its mostly labor. Well its not my fault I PAID FOR A SERVICE YOU FAILED TO PROVIDE CORRECTLY. Not to mention on March 8th, i take the car in for and oil change and they almost wouldnt do it because the remote start didnt have the hood safety pin installed. They bypassed it to cut corners. Now im going to have to pay someone else to fix their unexperienced employees screw up. They obviously do not stand behind their so called "LIFETIME" warranty. Worst experience ever. Will never return to for any service and will warn everyone I know or don't know of the service I received. I'm disappointed in myself for trusting these guys with my car. Spend the extra $50 and take your car to a reputable installer.
