Update by user May 28, 2020 We were reimbursed partial cost today. We are satisfied with the resolution. Original review posted by user Apr 25, 2020 We rented a time share at Marriott Surf watch In Hilton Head for a family reunion in June 2020. We rented thru a rental agent who was hired by an owner. We need to reschedule for the same week in 2021 because we have been able to reschedule a 10 bedroom house the same week in 2021which is next to the resort. The rental company says its up to the owner who has all of our money to get us a time slot for the next year with marriott. But they say the cant guarantee the same resort or week. This is useless to us. Its a wasted rental now as the resort is closed now and questionable whether it will be open. We have had to cancel the reunion and reschedule because we have people from all over the country coming ,including first responders who are working the virus crisis. At this point we are caught between the marriott, the owner and the rental agency. None of them cares if we have lost our money, nor are they trying to help us. This is corporate and individual greed at its worst in a world crisis! We dont want any money back just a reschedule at same place, same time next year! User's recommendation: Do not ever rent a marriott vacation rental. You will not get help in a unforeseen world crisis.
