I ordered a Kwikset Indoor Door *** from Build.com through Amazon.com. Two days later expecting my item to arrive and preparing for its installation by removing the old door *** I get an email. Build.com cancelled my order without contacting me simply because their "system" saw a PO Box listed. The PO box was listed ALONG with my physical address. If a little more care was taken I would not be leaving this negative review. I wrote Build.com and complained about their practice of automatically cancelling orders with a PO box listed. Of course I received the standard "sorry for my inconvenience blah blah blah" reply and they also asked if there was anything else they could do. I replied back and suggested they send me the door *** for free and update their obviously flawed system. I have used this address listing BOTH PO and Physical for 10 years on Amazon and NEVER had an issue before now. Build.com replied saying they could not send me a free item and they again were sorry for any inconvenience. Well I'm sorry if this negative review causes Build.com some inconvenience but maybe they should learn to treat their customers better. They lost a customer for life over a silly out-dated practice. Perhaps it would be a good thing Build.com was so impersonal because I found the same door *** for 5 dollars cheaper sold directly from Kwikset through Amazon. The problem is that Build.com still has not refunded me the $17.50 for an item that was NEVER SHIPPED. Why am I being charged before the item is shipped anyways? Why should I have to wait for MY MONEY when the mistake was clearly on them? Another shaky practice by a shaky company. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere for your construction needs. Stay away from Build.com
