Bank manager in Larkspur refused to cash US Bond issued by the same bank. She said I had to have an account again. I tried to open an account and she refused.

The event happened on May 7, 2018 and when I tried to cash a US Bond given to me by the Westamerica Larkspur branch. They refused. I then called customer service and they stood by the policy. I planned to open an account and move my banking back to them but they refused. Both the branch in Larkspur and customer service accused me of lying just to cash the bond. Clearly, they did not want me as a customer and behaved in an unlawful and discriminatory manner. I would still like to open an account but believe legal action may be required. Why they would not honor the bond they gave me is a mystery.
