Awaiting refund of held monies since before the pandemic
I ordered a bed from bensons Bury lancs for my son who has an LD and Autism. My son was awaiting commissioning of his house but it fell through sadly. I had to cancel the bed but was told there was a penalty charge so I was forced to reselect a bed for myself which I did. The bed the Cantata was miss sold by an assistant stating it was compatible with already purchased Bensons Sensaform mattress. The assistant also confirmed there were height adjustments on the bed frame. My husband is 65 so height adjustable was needed. The bed was delivered but did not adjust height wise and was uncomfortable and after one night we requested to return it. They refunded all but £240 stating that was a penalty but can be used towards another bed. The pandemic happened and you have held onto my £240 since. Im requesting Bury to refund this now but speaking with Craig the manager who was not helpful or supportive refused to refund this today. I am not happy with this customer care and saddened because I have been an extremely local customer spanning over 25 years just with bensons. I await your response but I am seeking legal advice and have contacted the Furniture Ombudsman. Thanks Mrs Boulton-Cox
