I purchased a $10,000 gas range for a house Im remodeling for retirement in another state. I was given a 3 day window for delivery by the delivering freight company. The house is unoccupied. The delivery company gave me a 4 hour delivery window and assured me they would call me 30 minutes prior to delivery. That would allow me to remain nearby during very cold weather and be on site when actual delivery was made. Having heard nothing at the end of 4 hours I found a notice on the door of an attempted delivery. They never called. Upon my call to the company they indicated they could not schedule a delivery prior to my scheduled return flight home 3 days later 650 miles away. I called Goedekers Customer service and a very pleasant and apologetic woman stated she would try to solve the problem but apparently has been unable to do so. I will need to reschedule another flight later in the month and attempt to reschedule a delivery. The pricing is good, the customer service at Goedekers has been very helpful and responsive up to the point of delivery. The good price will be wasted by the cost of two airfares and lodging expenses for what will be two trips and the good customer service through the purchase will be overshadowed by the horrible customer service attendant on delivery failures. During this renovation I have purchased appliances online from two different companies. Unless and until Goedekers secures a reliable delivery vendor I would recommend buying from another online seller. Its easy to find online.
