Booked a hotel that is not even there!

Thankfully my son is staying on base and went to view the hotel that my daughter in law and I have planned on staying at. Well, there is no hotel! It is closed down for renovations. I am glad that when I called Reservation Counter they did cancel my reservation. I would have literally died had we shown up to NOTHING. I did have to pay the $9.99 service fee.
