The Winchester UPS Store failed to package my item that we paid to have packaged and of course damaged the item. It has almost been 2 months now and we still have not been reimbursed. The UPS Store says it is a UPS problem and UPS says it’s their problem.
They told me they weren’t liable for damages to the item shipped, even if it was due to poor handling (dropping, throwing the box, etc). I went to the UPS store in West Ocean City, MD. I was shipping pantyhose and one pair of ladies shoes to Jessup, MD. There was no hurry so I asked for the cheapest rate. I was horrified to pay $21.56. Seriously, how do they stay in business. I even supplied my own box.
This store did not properly secure my envelope which contained copies of birth certificates for my minor children and other personable identifiable information for my entire household (ss#, birthdates, drivers license #, address, phone numbers, etc) to accompany a government document. The employees working there put in the same weight and size as I did and it was 8 dollars more. This was not the first time this has happened. Not the employee fault they are very nice. The Nederland,tx store. I am going to try FedEx next time.
