Terminated accounts

Hi, I’m reporting this because Tumblr has some glitch in their system or some problem I don’t understand. They had terminated my Tumblr account for no reason and no matter how hard I tried, they didn’t give it back. They said they restored it but it wasn’t. When I tried creating a new account, they deleted that... Read more ➤

Terrible service, misinformation.

Hello! Very dissatisfied Optus users write here. We feel disappointed not only with the quality of service, but also with Optus's attitude towards customers. Let's turn to the horns at once. Attached is an e-mail correspondence with Optus, where screenshots with internet speed from speedtest with measurements starting from 5. 97mb / s were sent. (!) After the first letter, a call was received with a recommendation to connect the necessary devices with an Internet cable or to buy an expensive router. Needless to say, even when connecting the xbox mentioned in the letter with a cable, "weak network connection" often appears at the bottom of the screen. Not to mention the fact that, for example, it is not possible to connect telephones at all and at the moment we only have 1 internet cable. Also, buying a new router is quite a failed and unpleasant recommendation, given that we use that router, provided by Optus themselves and nothing was even mentioned about the need for other options when connecting to the service. As for Optus's objections in the last letter on wifi operation. * Number of downstream wifi networks (neighboring networks) ; - Isn't the surrounding wifi networks a normal phenomenon and shouldn't be taken into account when promising a service? I wonder what the wifi speed is for people who live in "nine floors". * Quantity of your equipment; - We have 2 people at home, respectively, is it physically possible to use more than 2-3 devices on both at the same time? What happens if the whole family uses the Internet? * Distance to the modem; - We have a one and a half room apartment and all the "boxes" are in the same room where we use - 2m away. * Wall thickness; -? How does this affect the optical internet in any way? If Optus employees were even less interested in our situation, at least the existing circumstances would be clarified and it would be known that we do not live in a huge private house, so stupid arguments such as "distance to modem" and "wall thickness" would not be expressed.. And in case there are questions about the network cards of our devices - We use 2 Macbook Pro, which has not had a problem before, as well as the Xbox One. At the end of the letter, of course, another attempt to sell a router worth 72eur from a Optus store, which already seems like a complete mockery. So Optus themselves admit that the router they provide cannot pull more than 80mb / s? (80mb / s - single maximum observed speed in 6 months). Thus, deliberately giving it to the service "Basic Internet 250mb / s". And one last remark, setting aside the other arguments - if even with a powerful router recommended by Optus (ZyXEL NBG-6515) only 80mbps downloads are achieved (reference - last letter), then why is it lying to customers that the internet speed will be 250mbps? So why choose a service between internet speeds of 100mb / s, 250mb / s and 400mb / s at different prices? I don't even want to imagine how disappointed are customers who have a 2-year contract with 400mb / s and face the same problems as us. I'm not saying that big companies or experienced technicians shouldn't make mistakes either. The outrage is that mistakes are not corrected or at least not identified. That "standard" excuses are made, although it is not even known what the conditions for using the Internet are. Thanks for your attention.
