I opened a bank account with OCBC in Bali, Ubud earlier this year. They gave me a personal account and sold me on a business account, then additionally sold me healthcare, in which they told me would be an ‘investment’ and I could withdraw my money at any point whenever I decide. The total amount to be... Read more ➤

Doctor Attitudes

Hello readers. The story begins with the fact that my son has a respiratory problem (polyps). Half a year ago, I went to a children's hospital on Vienibas gatve. The doctor found that everything was in order and the operation would have to be done in April 2010. But time passed, and I see that it is difficult for a child to eat, snoring even without sleeping. My wife and I think that we have to drive and do the money operation without a queue. Arriving this year On December 28 to the hospital, we go to LORa. There he explained that we need a referral from a family doctor, but my wife and I say that we want to have a paid operation, because the child has a hard time and ask to see it, of course he said that you have to pay AUD 25 (although I do not know any sense once we do it). Then the professor (head of the department) appears and we ask to see the child, explain that it is difficult for him to eat, he cannot breathe normally and we want to perform a paid operation. But it slammed the door in front of us. I knocked and said that he was not ashamed, we would pay, but he said that without paying him, that there was no more socialism (it would be better to sit in a chair and do nothing). Of course, his wife could not stand it and cried and told him that he was not ashamed that he was waiting for such a bribe, then only lifted his butt. We left and went to Bikernieku Street, everything was ok there. The conclusion is that it is no wonder that deaths often occur in that hospital, and as I was convinced, even a hippocratic oath cannot save a small child who cannot yet take care of himself. PS I heard that after these surgeries, this professor is terribly cheating when prescribing medicine for AUD 400.
