Lid stopped working

I purchased a DZT-80-35 trash can in November 2019. The lid stopped working and I file a claim in March 2021; clearly still under warranty. Failed sensor

Sensor green, batteries fresh and no open/close. The sensor seems to have stopped working. I had to purchase another can this time with a different manufacturer. lasted less than 2 years. I was unsuccessful at reaching customer service after several attempts.
