Poor service, poor quality product.

Unfortunately, I've also had a problem with some complaints about service and product quality in the past. So, about seven months ago, a friend gave me a Guess watch for Christmas, which was purchased on the website Membershop.org (~ 150 AU$‎ worth, the price as in the store Laiks TheMall for discounts). After 7 months, the watch mechanism stopped, as we first figured out that the battery might have reached the end of its life and that it needed to be replaced. We bought a new battery, but the watch didn't work. Then, without much thought, we decided to send it to the warranty service to find out if the problem is with the battery or the problem is with the watch mechanism itself. (I will add that the watch was used CAREFULLY, did NOT experience ANY swim in the water,nor was it whipped or subjected to any use that would not comply with the regulations). Then either 1) We contacted the membershop customer service or whatever they call it and unfortunately the girlI had no idea at first how to solve this problem and said she needed to contact a colleague and call back in a few days; 2) Then, after about 2 days, we finally agreed that the courier would pick up the clock and go to the warranty service; 3) We wait patiently with a friend for 2 weeks, but do not give the message themselves, then we call ourselves; 4) At the next moment we don't know how to laugh or cry, but the 2 week clock has stood in his office and he hasn't been to the service at all and the girl on the phone says so: Your watch was sent to us opened, that is, the back cover was not put on properly and the warranty service doesn't work. (Yes, when replacing the battery, we didn't put the cap back on, because it was quite difficult to put on and it had to be done by force, so we thought we better not do it with barbaric methods and better entrust it to a professional so as not to damage anything). 1) IT SHOULD BE REMEMBERED THAT I DIDN'T FIND ANY POINT UNDER THE TERMS OF THE WARRANTY THAT THE WARRANTY SERVICE SHOULD NOT WORK IN SUCH CASES IF IT WAS KNOWN TO HAVE COVERED THE COVER. 2) WHY CANNOT BE RECALLED IMMEDIATELY IF YOU DETERMINE IF THE WATCH CAP IS OPENED, THEN THE WARRANTY SERVICE WILL NOT WORK AND NOTHING WILL BE DONE. (if he hadn't called himself, then even a month later, the watch would accumulate dust in a warehouse) 5) Having heard well that the warranty service will not work, then there is a remark that the repair of the watch mechanism will be 45 EUR, but how can they know that there is a problem in the mechanism at all, IF IT HAS NOT BEEN IN THE MASTER'S INSPECTION FOR 2 WEEKS. It is possible that only the battery was not genuine and needed to be replaced. And the same question was asked by a friend of a customer service woman, and if it was so important that the watch cover was put on, then we could once again send a closed one, which the CUSTOMER SERVICE EMPLOYEE ONLY laughed at. 6) Then, after more than 2 weeks, we asked for the watch to be simply sent back, because: # The hand no longer has to wait any longer and communicates after how long it will take the watch, then it is better to take it to the master, who will do it many. times faster. # There is no trust that this "warranty service" does not lie to me and does not send an absurd invoice (for example, nothing is corrected or in the end the error is not in the mechanism, but simply in the battery) ; It should be mentioned that I do not yet know how long it will take me to send me the watch, and in any case this institution does NOT have a normal warranty service, in principle you can not expect it and will always find fault with the customer. My recommendation: It is better to buy watches in a store, even at Laiks.org (tc Alfa, Galerija Centrs) or in another store that is NOT an INTERNET SHOP, where the product can be bought face to face, as well as conflict situations can be resolved directly. APPENDIX PICTURES OF THE CLOCK IN THE CONDITION AND COMPLETE IT WAS SENT. Pictures were taken 2 hours before the courier collected them.
