Healthcare for Pregnant Women
First of all, thank you to the doctors who helped, investigate and support me. But now fui about the health system as a whole. I recently came to AClinic with ambulance, sat for more than an hour and waited for a gynecologist to see me. I was able to tell my pain to my gynecologist, who advised me to call an ambulance, then to an emergency doctor, then I explained myself to the administrator in the hospital lobby, then to the gynecologist myself, and then I gave an explanation to the nurse and, while leaving the hospital, cashier. Not too much?! I was in a similar situation about three years ago, when the waiting time was the same. After giving explanations and waiting in line, I was examined by a doctor and I waited outside for more than an hour to give me the documents and be able to drive home. In the end, it all took me three and a half hours. For a moment, the doctor went out and turned off the light, leaving more than five women waiting behind the dark door without saying anything. The gynecologist's office is located next to the reception, where all patients are brought. Needless to say, with a wheezing nervous system, watching as patients are taken to the hospital can be confusing - one moans, another pale, another cries, another sleeps still, and so on. Of these, at least one hour of someone's whining was heard in the hallway for at least one hour. We waiting women are stiff in horror. However, we each sit here with our pain, and if we are already in the hospital, then the pain is not small. Didn't it really occur to anyone to somehow delimit this view of the reception in the hallway so that at least you don't have to look at all the patients being brought in? I still can't understand why there are only one doctor for so many patients? Because it is clear that there is not enough with one gynecologist. In general, the feelings remain from the terrible experience when I returned home to bed in tears or half night. I couldn't calm down from everything I had experienced. The feeling that you are on a conveyor belt and you can count on a happy coincidence, you have to be armed with great patience, strengthen your nerves and look for a way out. In my case, a specialist who will take after 4 days USG. Again, I can say that you have to rely on luck, because it is not easy to find a state-paid place to perform USG. In one place, which is closest to home in Uptown, I was offered on November 27, but for a fee on October 22. And again absurd, pregnant women have free USG and all examinations, but the interpretation on this topic is as follows - the state pays for USG after the 12th week of pregnancy?! What to do if you need to make the examination faster - pay?! I really want a baby and, of course, I will pay if necessary, but that is not right. A pregnant woman should not have to worry about the health care provided by the state and the health care system as a whole, but unfortunately nothing like that really happens in life. I feel like I'm in a nightmare called state-funded health care. I am now looking for opportunities on my own. And there is something wrong with the explanations of doctors, sometimes even afraid to ask something, because it seems that my questions are a big burden for the doctor. That shouldn't be the case.
