Straps on purse coming apart n cracking

Was given a set(purse and wallet) for mother’s day last year was so suprising to see leather handle starting to crack.Could not ask daughter n law for reseat to return 4 repair. Very disappointed with the whole situation. User’s recommendation: Make sure even just for piece of mind ask for paper worker.
