Defective transfer case

We purchased a 2007 Lincoln MKZ AWD in August 2007. My mechanic noticed gear oil leaking from under the car. Said diagnostics for lincoln mkt sun roof leak would be $144 but called later and said diag would be from $600 to $800 not the repair just for looking at it

Picked the car up and all they did was wet it with water hose and still charged $144 dollars. A $2000.00 warranty which had never been used was supposed to be $100.00 deductible per visit did not cover this. I would not suggest buying a Lincoln dealer warranty.
