I’m on my 4th, 10 year guaranteed smoke alarm. three are replacements for the ones that went off prematurely. The last one survived 1 month before going off without cause. NEVER will I buy from First Alert again. July 2020. User’s recommendation: Buy at your own risk.

Alarm went off at 2AM, light kept going for about a half minute. Took it down, it stopped shortly, looked at it, it is clean, blew air to check, still not working. I want to be replaced. Thank you. User’s recommendation: Warn customers, do not should be on the market with this model.

I bought a First Alert Smoke Detector that links up to my Ring Security system. The alarm has failed and produces false alarms. Had to take it down and remove batteries.
