Check-in fee
AuAir ANNOUNCES: From November 16 this year, the Australian national airline AuAir will introduce a check-in fee at the airport for five dollars (lats) for each passenger, informs the airline. The check-in fee will apply to economy class passengers whose tickets were purchased after the announcement of the new rules on 4 November. Passengers with reduced mobility, children under the age of 12 and passengers who have checked in for the flight online are exempt from the check-in fee at the airport. Check-in fees will also not be payable for passengers departing at airports where online check-in is not available. On Sunday we fly with my family from Berlin: no one is interested in the date of purchase of the ticket (it was still September for us) - "either pay 5 AU$ or sign up for Oceanianmiles!" And all the people queue up and write it's submissions! What they then reported was not covered by the new rules. And why, if Tegel Airport does not have an AuAir machine for check-in online, they generally charge this fee. It was a very unpleasant flight and spoiled the whole "weekend" mood.
