Hello! I would like to express my outrage at the attitude of the staff in the Department of Infectious Diseases of Dobele Hospital. My 8 month old baby had vomiting and diarrhea, so I went to Dobele because in Devonport Hospital There is no such ward. Everything was ok-kind and responsive nurses and a doctor at the reception. But when I joined the ward, I felt like a hypocrite. My mother was not provided with a separate bed and my baby was given an ordinary hospital bed. that I can't leave the baby there alone or to go to the toilet, let alone warm the food for the baby. The next shock for me was inserting a catheter into the baby-pediatric procedure room for 20 minutes, unable to find a vein inside the elbow joint (although the nurses in Devonport did it for 5 minutes), so it was placed on the top of the wrist. please move the catheter, I replied if I am already so smart, then let me go and do it myself. Do I really have to do the work if I don't like it? I understand that wages are low, but should I be treated as such? If you don't already have a bed, why not offer alternatives? Although a cot is offered for a baby for a fee, because it is safer. And the ward does not have a button that you can call a nurse. Puts the system and disappears..
