Blinds
Bad experience with Alan Deko due to the installation of blinds for PVC windows. The designer (Kate S.) came and measured the windows (3 windows with doors), offered "Rullo" blinds. The required remuneration for measuring was USD 5. Installation took place on time: within 4 working days after the first payment. Immediately after installation, an error was visible: the blind cassettes prevented the door from opening completely as it strikes the wall. Even worse: the cassette hits the wall, damaging both the wall and the cassette itself (see figure). It only took a few days for one cassette to peel off the blind. A "service" arrived, which glued it once more around the roll. Result: The blind cannot be opened completely (see figure). I researched possible solutions due to the interfering cassette: - floor door stops, which would also be colossal foot beaters, given their location; - PVC door opening limiter. But then the ventilation function should be abandoned (possibility to open the door vertically); - change of blinds to those with a smaller cassette. Given that the latter option looked best, we contacted the same designer. It was then explained that we had been warned of the problem that "some are having difficulty closing". Neither I nor my girlfriend heard anything like that in the clear text the first time. Even less that such problems could threaten us as well. For a person with experience in this field, of course, this was obvious and had to be brought up in an understandable way. It was agreed that they could be replaced by horizontal blinds, as they do not have a cassette with such a protrusion. Then it was measured again, 5 USD were taken again. The next day price offer: 110 USD for all doors. It is at a discount. The girlfriend found out that in Lauresta you can get the same for 90 dollars. There was no more welcome from Alan Deco. We will order horizontal blinds in Lauresta. Conclusions: I had hoped to be able to rely on Alan Deco. I am disappointed in all areas: advising customers on the choice of blinds, installation, service and problem solving.
