We attempted to stay at the above KOA but experienced discrimination. They had a sign advertising sites available but when we enquired in the office, we were told they did not have a site for us (not that there were no vacancies). Our van had broken down so unfortunately we were not able to move it and we proceeded to call the insurance company to organise a tow. Meanwhile we noticed other arrivals were allowed in and did not appear to have reservations. While we were on hold to the insurance company, another staff member approached us and said we needed to leave the property. We explained the situation but the man showed absolutely no compassion and reiterated that we needed to move. I then had to push the vehicle off the property with my 70 year old mother, while my dad was on hold and the man who asked us to leave looked the other way. In summary, it was clear that the site had availability and discriminated against us for reasons unknown. In addition, they showed no compassion to a retired couple who were quite clearly in a crisis.
