I have had my God's for about 9 years I do not use them that often perhaps 1/2 a week my hair. On Monday I was heading out and I sectioned of my hair starting at the bottom, thankfully as my God's overheated and burnt /syringed my hair. I could smell burning and Immediately turned the power off. In front of my eyes the heated plate started to pop out. I am so lucky that serious damage did not occur to my hair or indeed burns to my skin. I know I have them for a good few years even so It was very frightening experience and should never have happened.
