I called Anthem using their member services number. The phone was answered by an automated system that 'offered' me the chance to get a $100 gift card for Walmart. There was no option to skip getting the card. So I thought why not just get the card and move on to resolving my complaint. It turned out there was a small fee in order to get the 'gift' card, and so I indicated I did not want the card. Now I have to call another number in order to block the card. And still cannot avoid being required to get the card if I call their member services number. User's recommendation: Avoid Anthem at all costs. They are a miserable company. Very good at collecting premiums though.
